      The coordinator of the program is Dr. Saida Yahya Othman, University of Dar es Salaam.

      The US supervisor for 2001 is Dr. Paul Kaiser, University of Pennsylvania.

    • Application

    • Undergraduate students from US universities nation wide can apply. Application deadline is April 1st, 2001. (The deadline has been extended to April 15th).

      Further information and application materials are available at the University of Pennsylvania's College of General Studies summer programs.

    • Host Families

    • University of Dar Es Salaam faculty and staff who live near or around campus. Penn in Dar participants will be matched with their host families before departure for Tanzania.

    • Health and Accidental Insurance

    • You will need to get immunizations for Yellow Fever, Hepatitis, Typhoid, and others. Se your health practitioner and/or visit your institution's health center.
