| Folklore and Folklife has been taught at the University of Pennsylvania for more than three decades. A small research library, including a collection of field materials, recordings, commercial records, and a host of other textual materials were accumulated during this time. |
Please Note
The archive is currently in the process of being fully inventoried - a process which will result in electronic access to the research library holdings, record collection, dissertation collection, and audio and video field recordings. In the meantime, please take a look at listings of some of our more notable holdings.

Remember: The archive is open to the public during normal department office hours. If you are interested in taking a look at what we have, please contact us ahead of time so we know you're coming.
Funding Assistance Needed
Currently operating on an extremely tight budget, the Archive Committee is in search of grants both large and small to help make these important cultural materials accessable to an audience both within and outside of the Penn community. If you or your organization is interested in assisting with the archive restructuring and inventory project, please contact Regina Bendix at rbendix@sas.upenn.edu
