Exterior: A youth seated at left holding up a roll, in which he is reading. Another youth confronts him with a lyre. An older man looks back with interest. The letters are written stoixedon. The text is difficult to make out, and may recall Iliad 9.399 and 13.638 (Beazley) or lines from a didactic text (Immerwahr).
