> Latin Language and Literature at Penn
Penn's Classical Studies department has a thriving culture of Latin studies, with courses geared to the needs of students -- both undergraduate and graduate -- arriving with different levels of preparation, whether you:
- have never done Latin before, but have an interest in the language for its cultural significance, or need to read Latin for research purposes -- whether works by ancient Roman, medieval, or renaissance writers.
- have done some Latin before and would like to continue developing, or to refresh, your familiarity with the language.
- are doing a minor or a major in Classical Studies -- especially the track in Classical Languages and Literature, which requires courses in Latin and/or Greek.
- wish to use Latin to fulfill Penn's language requirement.
