As of September 1, 2003 the new Max Kade Center is now located at 3401 Walnut Street, Room 329-A.  The Max Kade Center at the University of Pennsylvania was established in 1963 and is the venue for guest lectures, receptions and parties, one-on-one tutoring by our three Max Kade Fellows, mini-immersion programs, Kaffeestunde and much more. It also houses an extensive library of German-language books.

The New York-based Max Kade Foundation was established in 1947 by Dr. Max Kade, a prominent German-American businessman in the pharmaceutical industry and the developer of Pertussin. Through its charitable funding the foundation promotes scientific and technical progress, furthers the peaceful coexistence of nations, and advances German-American relations. Max Kade died July 15, 1967.

Our Max Kade Fellows for 2006-2007 are:

  • Vance Byrd
  • Kate McCandless
  • Curtis Swope
