I am pleased to report that we now have one of the "DSS Revealed"
CD-ROMs running with full audio and quick access. You are invited to
check it out in Duhring Wing 413 (our lab in exile). For the current
discussion topics (Jewish subgroups) you could check the section of the
CD-ROM program on "History" and then "People." This is a locked lab, so
you will need to gain access by asking me (or making an appointment).
For any of you who would like a demo, I will show it off next Tuesday at
1 (right before class), and if needed, also after class. It is a useful
tool in addition to being very glitzy. And you can meet some more of the
major players (and hear more from Larry Schiffman). Hopefully we will
soon have other workstations functioning fully with the CD-ROM, as well.
