Statement about my work and Lilith:
Starting with myths and the creatures that inhabit them, my work has drawn
inspiration from the past. The ancient legend of Lilith is the basis of a
number of my sculptures. Some of the most recent figures are a series of
snake women and succubi, made from wild grapevine bark.
This photo is a fiber sculpture of LILITH. The crocheted head is a woman's
with the woven body of a serpent. The imagery used in many of my pieces is
figurative and deals with metamorphosis.
