Out of The Past: The Jewish Family’s History is Real History

Thursday, April 13, 2017 - 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Penn Hillel

Following the Seders, when the Exodus is retold from generation to generation, Penn alumnus and attorney James Schwartz will tell a different story of generations. Discovering a wealth of family history through years of research  into his family tree, James will share stories of unexpected connections and unusual characters and his passionate journey into the past. He wants  to inspire Penn students to seek their own family stories and to learn where they come from. In this workshop, James Schwartz will demonstrate how students can begin to search and build their own family trees using Ancestry.com and other web tools.
