Make HTML Forms
multiple.zip contains
windows software that can be used to make HTML forms with multiple choice
test and question/answers. Make a text file with a list of questions and
answers, and this program will make it a HTML file with forms and tables.
The output HTML form will contain facilities to send answers via. email.
Read the file readme.1st in multiple.zip for installation. Or, try this page with a number of choices for making online
forms interactively on the web. This page can be used to make a number

MULTILANG
Read
Manual Download Shareware version (2) - 2448129
bytes (After you download this zip file, create a directory called
c:\movie, copy multlang.zip into this directory and give the command
pkunzip -d multlang.zip - The flag -d is essential) This software allows
language teachers create their own lessons with multimedia capabilities.
It facilitates suitable hypertext links to audio, video and pictures.
Easy navigation between lessons and grammar is made possible with suitable
tags. All one has to do is prepare a text file for each lesson with
suitable tags linking audio, video and picture files stored in the
specified directory. Foreign language fonts can be used easily as long as
the corresponding true type font for the language is installed in the
machine. It also allows time marking video and audio files and play them
in isolated segments. The other features include making log files for
students' activities, launching netscape and integrate Web materials with
the ones developed with MULTILANG, let students record their response
both in voice and in typing and so on.
FLASHCARD
flashcd.zip (version
1.2)This software can be used to memorize vocabularies in any
language. Prepare a list of words in any word processor of your choice,
and save it as a text file. You can use 'tools' option in this software
to make it binary and random access file. It takes a random access file
with a list of source and target language words and displays them on the
screen with a given interval of time chosen by the user. A vocabulary
test module is provided to let the users test their knowledge of words
after reviewing each set of words. Tools are provided to record sound to
use in this software. Check back again to download the newer version with
more features in it.
DICTIONARY
This is a dictionary management software that
can be used to create and consult dictionaries online. Search of words,
easy navigation between entries, reading entries in bi-lingual mode,
producing camera-ready output etc., are some of the features of this
software. This software is customized to edit, create and read an
English-Tamil pedagogical dictionary being developed as part of an ongoing
project. Compiling LaTeX output that this software produces will
enable us to get a print-out of camera-ready dictionary. This software
also has facility to convert the data into a control file that can be
used to make database in Oracle. Further, it contains facility to
record/play audio for each field.
This software can be easily customized to any language with the use of
suitable font files for the language concerned.
Visit the LaRRC at 4th floor of Williams Hall for a demo of these software
and to know how to customize them for your language. Contact Vasu
Ranganathan, Director, LaRRC at vasur@ccat.sas.upenn.edu for further
