PLC's Technology Workshop schedule for the Fall 2000
    1) Streaming Audio and Video

    This workshop will focus on the use of digitized audio and video files over the web.  We will specifically look at multiple number ways of using them as part of language lessons.  With a facility to stream audio and video, it is possible to use any length of audio and video files.   Use of Real Audio/Video streaming, QuickTime streaming, embeding audio/vedio segments in web pages, innovative ways using them for language learning are some of the topics we would cover in this workshop.

    2) Use of DreamWeaver for making web pages with language learning materials:

    In this workshop we will use the popular HTML authoring software Dream Weaver to  create web pages with language learning materials. Specifically, we will focus on how to use this software for making web pages with reading materials; making glosses; adding images, audio and video; create exercises etc.

    3) Making web exercises integrating audio, video and pictures.

    In this workshop we will focus on making web exercises using a number of templates available on the web.  We will try to customize the exercises we make using these templates integrating audio, video and pictures of our choice.
