Travel Grants for Foreign Language Lecturers
Penn Language Center is able to offer a small number of travel grants for lecturers to attend conferences or other professional events related to the teaching of foreign languages. We can support travel, conference registration, or hotel accommodations. Priority will be given to those who will be presenting a paper and to those who do not receive support from departmental or other sources. Lecturers who will be presenting a paper may apply for a grant of up to $500. Those who plan to attend a conference but will not be delivering a paper may request support of up to $250. Please fill out the attached Travel Grant Application and return it to the Penn Language Center. For further information, please contact us at 215/898-6039.
PLC Resource Room
Penn Language Center is in the process of building a collection of resources for language teaching. We will also expand our collection of multimedia resources and teaching materials for the less commonly taught languages. For a list of our recent acquisitions, please click here.
In addition, we have acquired subscriptions to the following journals:

CALICO Journal
Foreign Language Annals
IALL Journal of Language Learning Technologies
Journal of Language for International Business

Penn Language News
Penn Language News, a newsletter of the Penn Language Center, appears at the beginning of each semester. Its aim is to inform the Penn language teaching community about language-related issues and events, grant opportunities, conferences and workshops, and new publications and technologies. Please click here to view a copy of our current issue (in PDF format).
