Immediate consecutive action may be
expressed by suffixing ˣ -um to the PAST VERBAL NOUN, as in:
- ¶ÕºÕ¾Ô ÂÕ¥¹â£ Íõ×´ ¶Ô¤½Õ¹ÁÔ£ sinimaa vittadum, enge
saappidalaam? `After the movie (lets out) where shall we eat?'
- ¼Ô¨ Ç×» ׶ԨÆ⣠ÇÂç¡Þ Ø´Ô½£ Âÿ»â naan ade sonnadum
avarukku koobam vandadu `As soon as said that he got mad'
- ÇÂç ¶Ô¤½Õ¥¹â£ ¹éí¡Þ ؽÔÆÔç avaru saappittadum,
Tawnukku poonaaru `As soon as he had eaten, he went to town.'
