Course Description:The course surveys the main parts of Czech grammar. It aims at improving
grammatical skills and developing communicative competence /listening-speaking,
reading-writing/ in Czech. The reading and communicative materials are selected to
enhance the interactive skills for everyday encounters outside the classroom.Teaching materials:

1. Declinations of Czech nouns, adejctives and pronouns (a survey).
2. Conjugation of Czech verbs (a survey).
3. Adjectives, adverbs and the comparison types.
4. Aspect: perfective vs. imperfective verbs, verbal prefixes.
5. Passive: analytical forms and the reflexive passive.
6. Syntax of the complex sentence.
