The 2009 Annual Meeting of the New England Pierpont Family Association will be held on Saturday, 27 June, from eleven am through mid afternoon, at Hammonasset State Park, Madison CT -- pavilion to be announced. The Pierpont Family Association was founded in 1924 in Waterbury CT and has met every year since then, most frequently in CT. We welcome descendants and friends of immigrant ancestor John Pierpont (formerly Pierrepont), who arrived in MA around 1640 and settled in Roxbury where he died in 1682. His son James Pierpont became pastor of the First Church in New Haven around 1684, and was active in the founding of Yale College. Pierpont descendants have proliferated in CT as well as elsewhere.
