Student Honors, Awards, & Activities - 2007-2009

Honors and Awards

The Graduate Program in French Studies is pleased to announce the following student honors and awards.

  • François Massonnat was awarded the Dissertation Completion Fellowsip to continue work on his dissertation. This fellowship provides a stipend in the amount of $22,280, health benefits, and tuitoin for the Academic Year 2010-2011.

  • Samuel Martin and Lucy Swanson was awarded the Dissertation Research Fellowship to be used for research purposes in the summer of 2010.

  • Emily Adams, Katherine Cardin, Sarah Phenix, and Angelina Stelmach was awarded the Dean’s Summer Fellowship in 2010 in the amount of $961.20 to be used for research purposes.

  • Sara Phenix was awarded the Dissertation Completion Fellowship to continue work on her dissertation, "Fashionable Feminity: Modernity and la Mode in the Realist Novel of the Second Empire." This fellowship provides a stipend in the amount of $21,630, health benefits, and tuition for the Academic Year 2009-10.

  • Kat Alexandrova, Anne Bornschein, Katherine Cardin, Samuel Martin, Ian McConnon, Lucy Swanson, and won the Dean's Summer Fellowship in 2009 in the amount of $812.50 each to be used for research purposes.

  • François Massonnat was awarded the Dean’s Summer Fellowship in 2007 in the amount of $3,500 to be used for research purposes in Paris, France.

  • Angelina Stelmach was awarded $6,000 by the Center for Teaching and Learning’s Graduate Fellowships for Teaching Excellence for 2007-2008.  This fellowship will assist Angelina in fostering conversations about graduate student teaching.  Angelina was also a recipient of the Dean’s Summer Fellowship in the amount of $3,500 to be used to go to the Dartmouth Summer Program in the summer of 2007.
