Michael Edwards
I developed my passion for Italian language and culture as an
undergraduate at Indiana University and received an MA in Italian from
Middlebury College in 2008. I also recently discovered my love for
teaching as an Italian instructor at UPenn and the University of North
Texas. My primary research interests include modern and contemporary
Italian literature, in particular the works of Luigi Pirandello, and
Italian Cinema.
One of the principle factors in my decision to pursue my studies in
the Department of Romance Languages at UPenn was the collaborative and
positive learning environment created by both fac ulty and students.
Furthermore, the opportunity to take an interdisciplinary approach to
my studies, the quality of the faculty, and the department's
commitment to excellence in teaching made my choice to study at UPenn an easy one.
