Placement Exams in French, Spanish and Italian

All new students who wish to continue studying French or Spanish at Penn,
and who are not using an SAT II score for placement purposes, must take an
on-line examination, offered through the Department of Romance Languages'
web site. The links are as follows:

Only those students who score above 428 on the French on-line examination
or above 546 on the Spanish on-line examination are eligible for the one
hour department placement exam, offered during Advanced Registration.

All new students who wish to continue studying Italian at Penn, and who are
not using an SAT II score for placement purposes, must take the one hour
Italian placement exam, offered during Advanced Registration.

Placement exams for French, Italian, and Spanish will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2007, in Williams 516. This is a proctored, 1-hour, fill-in-the-bubble test which will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. No one will be admitted late. Students interested in taking the exam in any of the three languages MUST arrange with Sara Forrest, Undergraduate Coordinator, in advance. If you are interested in taking the test, contact her at smacro@sas.upenn.edu to reserve your spot. In order to be admitted to the test, you must bring your Penn ID with you.
