Svetlana Korshunova received her PhD (equivalent) from the Moscow State Pedagogical University in 1992 (Dissertation: The Tragic Myth in Thomas Hardy's Novels). In 1993-2003, she taught Russian language, English as the second language, and World Literature at the Orenburg State Pedagogical University, the Russian University for the Humanities, University of Pittsburgh, and Russian Summer School at Norwich University. Svetlana’s academic interests focus on issues of language and identity. Svetlana loves classical music, gardening, and quilting (she has been working on her first project for the last ten years).
