But don't look
too close,
don't look too long,
for I am a model
of imperfection;
my profile, repulsive,
my smile, askew;
on runways, I run away,
on shoots, I die;
my make-up,
a paint by numbers set,
my hair, a clown's;
my mirrors all
face toward
the wall.
