Clips from the 'Kid movies' Space Cat,
Explorers. and Flight of the Nativator.


  1. First encounter with the Space Cat: Space Cat talks to Frank.

  2. Space Cat, a.k.a. 'Jake', makes some things levitate in order to show what he's capable of. Space Cat, Levitation

  3. Jake & Link discuss the possibility of controlling the outcome of the football game.

  4. Jake comes on to a female cat owned by a neighbor: humans try to get him to take control of a TV game which he does.

  5. A veterinarian accidentally injects Jake with a tranquilizer, but before it takes effect, he shows his powers of control over physical objects by interfering with a football game on TV, thus convincing various people he has powers.

  6. Humans and Jake make a bet in the pool hall in order to earn some money to pay for the gold needed to make the spacecraft run again. Jake declares that "with me on his side" he'll win the bet.

  7. In the pool hall again. Jake recovers from the tranquilizer and they tell him what he needs to do to help them win the bet.

 



  1. These clips are all from a sci-fi kid movie called The Explorers where three boys build a 'spacecraft' which gets taken over and brought up to connect with some aliens in the 'mother ship.'

    1. Boys finally meet aliens 'Ehhhh, what's up, doc? but their expectations of how wonderful it will be aren't met. Note "woo-woo" music in background, suggesting special powers or something.

    2. The 'space pirate' turns out to be the father of the two aliens, who are just kids like the boys from earth after all. The boy who has an abusive and blustery father figures it out: "It's the Dad" he says.
