“Matrimony and Magic in Late Antique Society”

Reyhan Durmaz (Religious Studies, Penn) and
Simcha Gross (Near Eastern Languages & Civilizations, Penn)

Speakers

Beginning this fall, Penn strengthens its status as a major center for the study of late antique religion with the arrival of Reyhan Durmaz, a scholar of late antique and medieval Syriac Christianity, and Simcha Gross, a scholar of the Talmud. Join us as we welcome Drs. Durmaz and Gross, learn about some of their recent research, and launch an exciting new year of PSCO focused on the study of the home and the family in the premodern Near East and Mediterranean.
