Experience with computerization of this material has been in the past limited to stand-alone computer processing of the data; the development of the world-wide web now allows us to produce an on-line version that may be accessed via Penn's Tamil Website (http://ccat.sas.upenn.edu/ plc/tamilweb/tamil.html). This website already offers a number of teaching materials available on line, and the plan is to produce a number of on-line reference materials, such as a cumulative glossary for all the materials (spoken and written) currently placed on the site, as well as an on-line version of this dictionary.
