Tamil uses a number of ordinary verbs that
combine with other words, usually nouns, to make new verbs. Tamil cannot
otherwise borrow verbs from other languages, so this process borrows verbs,
nouns, and other forms as if they were nouns and then makes compound
verbs out of them. The commonest verbs involved in this process are ÇÜ
adi, Íà edu, ½ýá pannu, ½à
padu, ½ÕÜ, pidi, and ׶ԧè sollu.
