Tamil can combine nouns with verbs
and make `compound verbs', that is, verbs that are equivalent to a verb in
another language. The nominal part of this compound is not marked for
case though it may in fact be the semantic object of the verbal action. These
compound verbs are on the borderline between being independent verbs, and
being phrases containing a noun and a verb.
