PSCO Presentation: 8 November, 2007
Panel Discussion: "Syria and Palestine"
Lee Levine (Hebrew University),
Seth Schwartz (Jewish Theological Seminary),
Hayim Lapin (University of Maryland),
Rina Talgam (Hebrew University)
In our initial meeting, John Reeves, Bill Adler, and Max Grossman shared thoughts on current directions and methodological concerns in the study of early Judaism and early Christianity. Following up on this discussion, the second meeting of the PSCO will focus on the Syro-Palestinian area, with guests Lee Levine, Seth Schwartz, and Hayim Lapin. We are also pleased to welcome Rina Talgam as an additional guest speaker. Unfortunately, Seth Schwartz was unable to be present.
This meeting is scheduled for Thursday, 8 November, 7:00–9:00 pm in the 2nd floor Lounge of Logan Hall at the University of Pennsylvania (36th St walkway, just north of Spruce Street).
Dining
As usual, those wishing to dine together before the seminar will meet at 6:00 pm in the Logan Lounge to go next door to the food court in Houston Hall.
