Program

As part of our reflections in honor of the fiftieth year of PSCO, this special session during SBL will be chaired by Bob Kraft and will feature PSCO alums and others reflecting on the most important changes in scholarship in Christian Origins and cognate fields in the past 50 years — and the most important changes still to come in the next 50. Discussants will include Ra'anan Boustan, Ross Kraemer, Todd Krulak, Michael Pregill, Phil Webster, and Megan Williams.

We plan an open discussion in which PSCO alums and others comment briefly on their impression of [1] the most important change in scholarship on Christian origins in the last 50 years, [2] whether/how PSCO was involved, and [3] what they think is the biggest change coming in the 50 years ahead. If you're planning to be in Chicago on Friday night and are interested — and willing to chip in your thoughts — please email Annette Yoshiko Reed.

It doesn't seem like it will be feasible to arrange a dinner before the session, given the scattered conference locations, etc.

Note that the location will be in Boulevard Room A at the Hilton Chicago Hotel, Chicago.
