“Hezekiah the Censor and the Case of the Missing Books”

Eva Mroczek (UCDavis)

Speaker

Prof. Mroczek is currently an Assistant Professor at University of California, Davis. Her first book, The Literary Imagination in Jewish Antiquity (Oxford University Press, 2016) is a study of how early Jewish writers imagined sacred writing before the Bible existed as a concept. She is currently working on a second book, The Other David, which is an intellectual history of King David’s changing biographies from antiquity to the present. For more on her and her work see her UC Davis profile page.
